I am a filmmaker originally from Omaha, Nebraska. I moved to Los Angeles in 2017 to begin a masters program in Film and Video at the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts). My focus in filmmaking thus far has been to create films that are relevant and resonate with modern audiences. It's also important that I have the ability to exhibit my expertise with all levels of filmmaking production.  I’ve worked on a variety of commercial projects from commercials and company marketing projects to TV sitcoms as an editor, writer, director, animator, colorist and cinematographer. For me, the way to reach an audience is through films that have recognizable style in composition and form.

Recently, a film I created in collaboration with a friend screened at Sundance, Full Frame, Dok Leipzig, Morelia, and Guanajuato, among others, and was awarded Best Cinematography in a Documentary Short at the Tacoma Film Festival. The film, It's Going To Be Beautiful is about the eight prototypes for a border wall standing on the US-Mexico border. To choose a winning design, Border Patrol officers and the military attempted to climb, dig under, or breach the structures using techniques employed by immigrants and drug dealers.

In addition, I completed my MFA at CalArts with my thesis film, Traveler, a narrative set in my home state. The film is about a man who travels from town to town trafficking illegal contraband.

I look forward to collaborating in the many genres I have explored and hope to expand my filmmaking and artistic vision.
